How do I migrate Stobox Token (STBU) to Base, and is the new contract safe?

Spatial render: a blue module leaving one white base along a line toward a cleaner new case

STBU is consolidating onto one canonical contract on Base (0xe0c0F44A84CC4a60206360006ebA237a5e8fC2dd – verified on BaseScan, immutable, 250M hard cap). Holders on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon and Arbitrum burn old STBU and claim 1:1, free, at stbu.stobox.io. Burn deadline: 15 September 2026.

Stobox Token (STBU) has lived on four blockchains – Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon and Arbitrum. The migration replaces those four deployments with a single canonical contract on Base, Ethereum’s leading Layer 2, so there is one token, one address, and unified liquidity instead of four fragmented copies.

How the migration works

A token cannot move between blockchains directly, so the migration takes the old token permanently out of circulation and mints the same amount fresh on Base. It is three steps, and it is non-custodial throughout – Stobox never holds your tokens.

  1. Burn. At stbu.stobox.io you send your old STBU to a burn address (0x…dEaD) that nobody owns and nobody can spend from. This permanently retires the tokens, and the burn transaction is your public on-chain receipt.
  2. Confirm. The system detects your burn on-chain automatically and credits your eligible balance. There is no form and nothing to send to anyone.
  3. Claim. From 15 September 2026 you mint the same amount of new STBU, 1:1, directly to your own wallet on Base.

The exchange is exactly 1:1 and there is no migration fee – you pay only ordinary network gas for your own transactions.

The details that matter

  • Canonical contract:0xe0c0F44A84CC4a60206360006ebA237a5e8fC2dd on Base, verified on BaseScan.
  • Token / symbol / decimals: Stobox Token / STBU / 18.
  • Supply: hard-capped at 250,000,000 forever. The only way new tokens are ever created is a verified 1:1 migration claim – no owner mint, no cap increase.
  • Immutable: the contract cannot be upgraded. An emergency pause exists for safety, and un-pausing requires multi-signature approval.
  • Governance: a 2-of-3 multi-signature wallet, with the migration signer held in a hardware security module.
  • Standard: a modern ERC-20 with gasless approvals (Permit / EIP-2612).

Key dates and staying safe

The burn window is open now and closes at 15 September 2026, 00:00 UTC – the same instant claiming opens. The safe plan is to burn early and claim on or after that date.

Migrate only at stbu.stobox.io, and always confirm the contract address matches the one above. Migration is free – anyone asking for a “fee” or an “unlock payment” is running a scam. Stobox will never DM you first and will never ask for your seed phrase or private key.

Gene Deyev’s take

Four contracts on four chains was a tax we were charging our own holders – fragmented liquidity, four things to verify, four ways to get it wrong. Consolidating STBU onto one immutable, verified contract on Base is the honest version of the token: a fixed cap, no owner mint, and every claim provable on a public explorer. We deliberately made the migration non-custodial, so holders retire their own tokens and mint the new ones themselves. Nobody should ever have to trust us for something the chain can prove.

Questions this raises

The migration, answered briefly.

How do I migrate STBU to Base?

Burn your old STBU at stbu.stobox.io before 15 September 2026, 00:00 UTC; the burn is credited automatically and claiming opens 1:1 on Base at that same instant. No fee – only ordinary network gas.

Is the new STBU contract safe?

The canonical contract 0xe0c0F44A84CC4a60206360006ebA237a5e8fC2dd is verified on BaseScan, immutable, hard-capped at 250,000,000, with no owner mint; pausing requires multi-signature approval and the migration signer sits in a hardware security module.

How do I avoid migration scams?

Migrate only at stbu.stobox.io and check the contract address matches. Migration is free – anyone asking a “fee” or an “unlock payment” is running a scam; Stobox never messages first and never asks for a seed phrase.
